| Two weeks... |

Two weeks left until i am married! yeah! I am soooooooo excited! Can't wait until I get my dress altered and can actually wear it!
I have almost everything figured out, still need to book alterations for the dresses, but i am going to do that tonight, so I'm not too worried. I even figured out my makesup and hair (YEAH).
Unfortunately not many of my family (extended) are coming. Just one aunt and uncle out of seven...too bad....I guess they are the one's who are missing out, right? another unfortunate thing is that the 'Godfather' of our family, Salvatore, died yesterday, so none of the Italian side are coming, which i can understand, but it's still too bad. My dad is going to take it really hard too. Maybe mom and I can convince him to go to the funeral...maybe...don't think so though. So begins our one year of mourning for poor Sal.
But enough of unhappiness. I think everything is coming together. The girls and i are goign to make the bonboniere (part favors) tomorrow, and I think they are going to be really nice in the end. Then we are having a bbq...fun fun! I can't wait to eat the food! I am going to make potatoes that my mom used to make, with onions and margarine (sooooo good! even though i pick out all the onion it is great for flavour) |

So I got a letter from U of C today...
"We're sorry to inform you"...my mom read it to me over the phone as it was at their store...
Shitty...the lowest GPA they would take was I think 2.8 something...the cut they were looking for was 3.1....i have a 2.92...
Okay, but chin up, right? I can always apply again next year...and they do have me on a waiting list...so hopefully between now and the end of August someone drops out and I'm in...I just wish they'd tell me how far on the waiting list I am...I don't know if I'm 2nd down or 100th...
Oh well. Can't do much about it. And, I can still work at the gallery, and I was approached the other day by a customer and asked about a business proposition. We've known her for years, and even if it was short, it would be good. No details yet, i'll keep y'all posted...
Still, i hope U of C calls with good news...it wasn't until i have been waiting for my letter that I realised how much i want to be a teacher...

So, I am back from Edmonton (which by the way was only supposed to be a two day trip but turned into three cause chris asked my permission to stay an extra night while I was drunk and apparently I said yes) * deep breathe *
I found out this weekend that I am apparently really good at shooting a gun. I used my sisters small 22 and boy do I ever like shooting! : ) I had this sheet with four targets on it, and only got outside the targets four times! WOOHOO! I was really proud of myself
Also, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS TIL I"M MARRIED!!!! WHEEEe!!!!

Ok, so I am getting married in less than three months now...actually 2 months 18 days...and I have to say, I am beginning to get excited! I can't wait to walk down the aisle, and become Mr. Christopher Raymond and Mrs. Rebecca Piazza. (HAHAH, I'm keeping my name, folks, though i know they'll announce us both as Raymond...)
So...yeah...oh...and My sisters are starting to plan my bridal shower, which should be oodles of fun..I suggested that we go to build-a-bear workshop...LOL |

Lets see...finished a big grad piece the other day unintentionally....Luba stopped me from adding something more. THANKS LUBA!!!!!!
I get married in three months minus one day! YEAH!!! As much as I bitch about it, I think that I am really getting excited about getting married..Chris on the other hand, is going to break out in a cold sweat and hightail it to mexico any minute now...
on the bright side, he's decided that the Vegas bug has hit him once more, so maybe we should go to Vegas for our honeymoon...secret My ehart exploded with excitement.

My great aunt called yesterday. After being sick for almost twenty years, living in the hospital for about five years, my grandmother has died. It's kind of sad to think that she had actually prepared her tombstone already, knowing she was going to die. My poor grandfather, I worry about him so much...His brother lives out in BC. A part of me hopes that he moves there. Then at least I'd get to see him. There is a chance he'll go to NB though. That is where he is taking Emily to be burried.
Oh well. I've cried my tears for grandma Emily. And I've said my prayers for my grandpa Ashley. I suppose that's all I can do. It's kind of sad though that all the relatives who live in Ontario, where Emily died, will not be going to her funeral, while my mother and I would, if we had the money.

| Vegas Trip |

So my sister and I went shopping for her wedding dress on wednesday. In case I forgot to tell anyone, after cancelling her wedding three times for various reasons, she has now decided to go to Vegas. Chris and I are going along as witnesses and, well frankly IT'S VEGAS!!! We're leaving on November 9 (I think) and coming back on the Sunday. Yes, it's only four days really, but hey, my sister has been to Vegas twice (or three times) before, so they know enough that we won't be running around like tourists. We have our list of stuff to see which includes: Tiffanies Jewelry, the various hotel lobbies on the strip, the Ballagio fountains, The Startrek Experience (for me of course), and hoover damn. The startrek thing will be sooo great! I am going for the startrek, my sis is coming with me to laugh at all the people who go to see the startrek stuff...it's a win-win situation...
Oh, and for their wedding cake we are heading to a place called Frebe's (i think). It's a bakery that speciallizes in vagas cakes. They actually have it so you can walk in and get single slices! So we're going to buy four small chunks to make up their cake!
They are getting married at Redrock Canyon hopefully. My sis still has to call and make the final arrangements.
And best of all, the trip is costing each of us $650! Expedia.ca y'all! We have us four staying in one hotel room, and flying there and back for $650 each, can you believe it!!!!?
Anyway, so we went looking for a dress for Andy, and we found the perfect one! Plus, even with rushingit in in her size, we are only paying $350 for it...I highly recommend that anyone looking for a formal dress, or wedding dress or bridesmaid dress go to Bridal Fashions on 16th ave (across from the Brick)...My wedding dress will probably be around $500-800....crazy, eh? |

So, My sister..my oldest sister...the one who had a baby just about a year ago...is pregnant again. She told us, and seemed so happy.
My question is: how can she be so happy? I mean, she doen't have the money to pay for this child, and yet, oh hey, let's have another one!!!!
She is already expecting gifts for herself and for the baby. I won't do it god damnit!!! I mean, I already fork out enough cash for Connor!
Now, don't get me wrong...I love the little guy...and I will love the next one (whom the clairvoyant said is a little girl). But how can I show love for the children, and yet still shun the parents who are obviously insane?!?!?!
I'm really upset, and my other sister and I are going to tell Sal how we feel on Tuesday. Sadly, I think that this may cause a giant rift in our relationships. I don't want to disown my sister, but I have now lost all respect for her, especially since the situation makes it very awkward and difficult for the other two of us with our soon to be in;laws...
For those of you who know the situation, you know there is more to this than what I am saying...I just needed to rant... |

So, I have been on this e-mail role playing game for about seven years. All of a sudden, they decided they didn't like anybody but americans (at least that's my theory). Suddenly all of the non-americans (but I) have quit. Well, a few minutes ago I went online to pst to the game and I am apparently no longer on the game. I mean, at least write me an e-mail and say "We'd prefer to keep this game in our own country". At least then I can find another organization to go to!!!
Now I have to spend a week researching a new game, and then apply to it...damnit!!!!!
I usually don't have anything against americans. after all, both my mom and sister and half of my extended family are american, but come on! That's really retarded. I knew something was up when someone made a comment about how they loved Krispy Creme donuts and I said that for some reason they weren't doing very well up here and someone responded thats cause we like non-flavored cardboard like Tim Hortons!!!! BAH!!!! |

Today my sister went into labour...six weeks early, which she is a little bummed about...baby may be born tonight, we aren't sure. If it is, if will be prematrue, and it's lungs may be underdeveloped which means it will have breathing problems. The doctors are hoping that she holds out another week, but they figured out that she has already been in labour a week, so...
Everyone pray, meditate, or whatever your relgion does for her, please.
Otherwise, please pray that I get the baby's room finished in time..unfortunately I am the shmuk who said that they would paint the whole damn thing. |

So, although I thought I'd never see him again, my baby came back!
I couldn't believe it!
Of course, I should have.
Ok, so not many people know this, but Chris and I have something very casual in common. we both seem to have some kind of ESP level. It sounds stupid, I know...but Chris's family has a history of these "feelings" they get. And it seems almost like they are psychic or something. For example, it was a perfectly clear day, and we were going to calaway park just after we met, and chris's mom said that we should be careful. that was weird. and, she made us carry along her angel pin. later that day, we were in an accident. Although we wrote off the car we hit, and almost our car, all of us were unhurt with the exception of a few bruises. weird eh? plus, they have dreams shortly after a person dies that they are close to..the person comes to them and tells them something private or something..Chris's aunt saw her uncle in a certain suit which no one had seen, and at the funeral, he was wearing that suit!
anyway, so chris walked around the house yesterday, and asured me that my cat was in the house. of course, i didn't believe him, but i should have. he'd had a feeling...and there my cat was later that night...
